Cumbria's Holiday Activity and Food Programme

The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme provides free, fun activities during the Easter, summer and winter holidays funded by the Department for Education.

Children of families supported by benefits-related free school meals can access up to four days of free activities during Easter and winter and sixteen days during the summer. The activities will help to:

  • increase self-esteem
  • improve wellbeing
  • provide information and advice on healthy eating and nutrition

Most importantly, we want your children to have some fun.

Who is it for?

The Holiday Activity Programme is aimed at all staturoty school-age children and young people (Reception- Year 11)
  • Places are FREE for eligible children due to funding from the Department for Education.
  • Funded places are for young people who receive benefits - related Free School <eals and other eligible children in particular circumstances.  All children who attend will also be provided with a meal.
  • Eligible children can access up to four sessions this Easter.
